Winner of the IRC Challenge in 2006, Giandomenico Basso only achieved the 5th fastest time in the shakedown, tied with the Peugeot 207 S2000 from local Andrei Zheludov. The Italian was handicapped by an electronic fault which prevented the Abarth Grande Punto S2000 from starting correctly. The problem was identified and resolved this Thursday late morning.
