Sports Championship

Dominant throughout this season, Geoffrey Schatz did not miss the opportunity to achieve ultimate success, winning this Sunday the 93rd edition of the Course de Côte de Limonest – Mont Verdun. The new 2019 French Mountain Champion signs his twelfth victory of the season at the wheel of his Norma M20 FC, powered by an Oreca engine.

If Geoffrey Schatz is having a magnificent season, Damien Chamberod can also take legitimate pride in his performance. The Isère driver only took part in the last five rounds on the 2019 calendar, and at the wheel of a Norma E2-SC that he is discovering, and of which he must perfect the settings, he achieves the feat of going up to five times on the second step of the podium.

Kevin Durot is also getting used to the podium. Once again, the Northerner took third place in a round of the Championship, and at the same time a success in CN/2.

Production Championship

The weekends follow one another and are similar for Yannick Poinsignon who, in the space of a week, wins two rounds of the French Mountain Championship. After a very first success in Turckheim, the Vosges native repeated his performance in Limonest where he imposed his BMW M3 E92. Excellent end to the season for Yannick Poinsignon who took second place in the Championship.

An excellent end to the season also for Pierre Beal who returned to the podium by placing his Volvo TC10 S60 in second place. A clear progression, promising for the future. The GTTS ranking is completed by Jean-Louis Janioud whose BMW M3 GTR is in ninth place overall.

As for the Poinsignon family, we have multiple reasons to celebrate this evening. Christophe, the youngest, finished on the podium in this final confrontation of the Championship, at the same time signing a new success in the FC Group.
