Silverstone: Kristoffersson doubles lead in Q4

Johan Kristoffersson (Volkswagen) won the last qualifying round of the World RX at Silverstone (Great Britain) by winning ahead of Sébastien Loeb (Peugeot ) and Andreas Bakkerud (Audi). Kevin Hansen (Peugeot) completed the Top 5, finishing between Kevin Eriksson (Ford) and Jérôme Grosset-Janin (Renault). Petter Solberg (Volkswagen) was further behind with the tenth time. Grégoire Demoustier (Peugeot) ranked 14th ahead of Guerlain Chicherit (Peugeot). Hervé Knapick (DS 3) finished 19th ahead of Timmy Hansen (Peugeot) last classified after a mechanical failure on the 208 WRX.

 

 

Johan Kristoffersson finds himself in the lead ahead of Sébastien Loeb and Petter Solberg. Mattias Ekström and Andreas Bakkerud complete the Top 5, while Timmy Hansen has fallen to sixth position. Jérôme Grosset-Janin qualified in tenth position, but his teammate Guerlain Chicherit was eliminated finishing 15th. Grégoire Demoustier, Hervé Knapick and Ma Qing Hua (Ford) are also eliminated.

Tommy Rustad (Volkswagen) is the only wildcard to have qualified for the semi-finals. The 2015 European champion finished the qualifying heats in 11th place.
