The fight for victory is as intense as ever in the Canaries! This morning, Thierry Neuville struck first to install his Peugeot in the lead, 9/10ths ahead of Kopecky and 1” ahead of Hänninen. But he had demanded too much from these tires and a half-spin in the following special cost him several seconds. Two stages from the finish, two Skodas are in the lead, Hänninen ahead of Kopecky by just a tenth of a second. At 4”6, Neuville has not said his last word, nor has Loix (Skoda), 7”2 behind the leader.
