Tommy Rustad plans to participate in several rounds of the 2018 World RX season. The 2015 European champion will notably be entered at the Speedmachine Festival at Silverstone (May 25-27) and at his national event at Hell (June 8-10) at the wheel of a Volkswagen Polo Supercar in the colors of HTB – Marklund Racing.
“Since the World RX round in Lanke (Hell) is not included in the European Championship calendar this year, we have decided to contest several World RX rounds. We don't have the budget to compete in the entire World RX season. We are currently planning to race at Silverstone and Lanke,” commented the 49-year-old Norwegian.
The Scandinavian will line up alongside boss-driver Anton Marklund, the reigning Euro RX champion. He will drive the Polo with which his teammate won the title last year.
