Swede Mattias Ekström (EKSRX – Audi S1) dominated free practice for the opening round of the 2015 World Championship season. Rallycross in Montalegre in Portugal. The Audi driver in DTM set a best time of 41″102 and is ahead of his compatriots Timmy Hansen (Team Peugeot -Hansen – Peugeot 208) and Johan Kristoffersson (Volkswagen Team Sweden – VW Polo). World Champion Petter Solberg (SDRX – Citroën DS3) took 6th place. The French Davy Jeanney (Team Peugeot-Hansen – Peugeot 208) and Jean-Baptiste Dubourg (Citroën C4) ranked 11th and 14th.
