Ken Block (Ford Focus RS) will not participate in the World RX semi-finals in Barcelona (Spain). The Hoonigan Racing Division boss-driver failed to finish in 16th place while his teammate Andreas Bakkerud qualified in fourth position.
Johan Kristoffersson (Volkswagen Polo) won the last qualifying heat ahead of Tommy Hansen (Peugeot 208) and Mattias Ekström (Audi S1). The Scandinavian from the Swedish team retained first place in the ranking ahead of Kristoffersson and Ekström.
Sébastien Loeb (Peugeot 208) set the sixth time of the session and finished qualifying in fifth place ahead of Toomas Heikkinen (Audi S1) and Petter Solberg (Citroën) who only set the ninth time ahead of Davy Jeanney (Peugeot), 12th in the outcome of the four rounds.
