The semi-finals of the Trois-Rivières meeting in Canada have delivered their verdict. In semi-final 1, Johan Kristoffersson (Volkswagen Polo GTi – PSRX VW Sweden) dominated his rivals, well ahead of Timmy Hansen (Peugeot 208 WRX – Team Peugeot-Hansen) and Kevin Eriksson (Ford Fiesta – MJP Racing Team Austria), all three qualified for the final. Less success for Mattias Ekström (Audi S1 – EKS RX), author of a failed start, and who was unable to catch up.
Petter Solberg (Volkswagen Polo GTi – PSRX VW Sweden) won in semi-final 2 ahead of Toomas Heikkinen (Audi S1 – EKS RX) and Sébastien Loeb (Peugeot 208 WRX – Team Peugeot-Hansen), despite a fight at the start of the round with the Ford Focus RX – Hoonigan Racing Division of Ken Block. The two Polo GTi will start on the front row in the final.
