Petter Solberg (DS 3) won Q3 of the World RX in Estering (Germany) and moved up to third in the standings behind Janis Baumanis (Ford Fiesta), seventh in the round. The Norwegian beat the Peugeot 208 by Sébastien Loeb and Kevin Hansen, the Alsatian now occupying fourth position.
Mattias Ekström (Audi S1) set the fourth fastest time ahead of his rival for the title Johan Kristoffersson (Volkswagen Polo) and remains in the lead overall while the Swede is seventh behind Davy Jeanney (Peugeot), tenth in the session.
Ken Block (Ford Focus RS) set the 13th fastest time and is in 12th place, two places ahead of Timur Timerzyanov (Fiesta) who was in difficulty this weekend.
