The ambition is displayed and assumed: Racing Team Turkey wants to achieve victory during the Centenary edition of 24 Hours of Le Mans, next June. Always associated with the TF Sport structure, the Turkish team has given itself the means in terms of its crew to seek victory in the LM P2 Pro/Am category.

In a livery which will also celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Turkish Republic, Oreca 07 n°923 will be entrusted to Salih Yoluç, Tom Gamble and Dries Vanthoor. If the Turk is a regular within the team, the Briton and the Belgian are joining the team.

“It’s a very exciting challenge for us, the opportunity to race at Le Mans is extraordinary,” said Tom Ferrier, sporting director of TF Sport. Although this is our first time racing in LMP2, we hope to use some of the knowledge we gained in GTE that brought us so much success at Le Mans. Salih has proven time and time again that he is one of the strongest, if not the strongest bronze riders, and with Dries and Tom I think we have a great chance to fight for victory in this category. »

At just 21 years old, Tom Gamble already has plenty of experience in Endurance : champion in ELMS in 2020, in the LM P3 category, he participated in the last two seasons of the European championship in the LM P2 category, with United Autosport. He also took part in the 24 2021 Hours of Le Mans in GTE-Am, with the GR Racing team (14th in class).

For his part, Dries Vanthoor will bring his extensive experience of Endurance, having participated three times in the Le Mans event (including a victory in GTE-Am in 2017). “I'm happy to be back at Le Mans this year to fight for victory in LMP2 with Salih and Tom. We think we have a strong line-up and with TF Sport I think we have a good chance to fight for a good result! I would also like to thank BMW for allowing me to participate in this race! »
