A single Bugatti filed down the asphalt of the grand circuit of 24 Hours of Le Mans since the brand's second victory in Sarthe, signed in 1939 by a Type 57C. It was 1994 and the heroine of this feat was none other than an EB110S proudly displaying the AUTO logohebdo. The authorship of this crazy initiative went to the founder of your favorite weekly, Michel Hommell.
29 years later, Bugatti has revealed photos of a Centodieci sporting the livery of this EB110 S. The beauty proudly takes the break on the straight of the 24 Hours of Le Mans Circuit, a great tribute to this adventure and the centenary of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The owner of this car, one of 10 Centodieci produced, is proud of this lineage: “Heritage is something that I find very moving and which inspires me. I appreciate the sense of history and the search for a connection with the past. This makes owning such a car so much more special. Celebrating the past while enjoying the present is also emotionally fulfilling. This livery exudes an incredible and evocative emotion, the one that galvanized Bugatti’s return to Le Mans”.
In addition to its name, Centodieci (110 in Italian), the car's appearance pays numerous stylistic homages to its ancestor, such as the reduced Bugatti horseshoe grille, the boomerang cut-out front headlights and the 5 circular openings behind the side windows characteristic of the EB110 S.
