Villorba Corse will diversify its program by entering a Ligier JSP3 in the LMP3 category of theELMS, in addition to its presence in the premier LMP2 category where it competes with a Dallara P217.
Raimondo Amadio's team is entered under the name Ace1 Villorba Corse in LMP3, the result of a partnership linked to the structure of Yuki Harata, a 25-year-old former Japanese skier specializing in downhill and SuperG. The Japanese driver will thus be at the wheel of the prototype alongside Alessandro Bressan, a 32-year-old Italian who trains him and with whom he competed in the Pirelli World Challenge in a Lamborghini Huracan. Together, they celebrated the GT Cup SprintX Pro / Am title in 2017. The crew will be reinforced by a third driver.
“I am delighted to embark on this new adventure in Europe, confides Yuki Harata. It's a completely new experience after having driven GTs in the USA for two years. Everything will be new, whether it's the circuits or the car. I am proud to take this new step in my career in a team as experienced as Villorba Corse. I'm going to learn a lot. »
