VIDEO. When Emerson Fittipaldi becomes Jackie Stewart's driver
The United States Grand Prix is an opportunity for Emerson Fittipaldi to meet old friends. The day after a meeting with Mario Andretti, the double world champion of Formula 1 1972 and 1974 with Lotus then McLaren became a luxury chauffeur for three-time champion Sir Jackie Stewart.
“After meeting Mario Andretti here in Austin, I met up with Sir Jackie and took him for a spin in a McLaren at the Austin circuit. Imagine the honor and responsibility I had to go around with this sacred monster of which I was a fan and with whom I had the pleasure of racing, as was the case with Mario Andretti! It was a blessed day alongside historic drivers on a special circuit. After being a racing driver, I am now Sir Jackie Stewart's chauffeur, laughs the 75-year-old Brazilian.
