Marco Wittmann (BMW) took pole for Race 2 of the DTM at the Nürburgring. The German set a time of 1'20''936, beating a trio of drivers by more than a tenth. Mercedes composed of Paul di Resta, Robert Wickens and Lucas Auer, the winner of the day before.
The Audi drivers struggled more, with Jamie Green placing the first RS5 DTM in 11th. Championship leader Mattias Ekström took 14th position. Loïc duval achieved the last time.
