Le pilote néerlandais pilotera une Hyundai Elantra N pour le compte de l’écurie BRC Racing Team, championne en 2018 avec Gabriele Tarquini et en 2019 avec Norbert Michelisz. “The addition of a third Hyundai Elantra N TCR to our program is important for us, as we want to finish the WTCR season with good results in every remaining event, said Gabriele Rizzo, BRC Racing team principal.

Mikel (Azcona) and Norbi (Michelisz) have done a fantastic job all year against bigger teams, and we expect the opposition to be even stronger in the later rounds. I look forward to welcoming Nicky back to the team to support us during these races. He has shown in the past that he is very competitive on the show, and incredibly quick to adapt to new challenges. »

Nicky Catsburg, who has already driven on the Bahrain International Circuit but does not know the Jeddah Corniche Circuit, will lend a hand so that the Italian team is crowned in the Teams classification, but also Drivers through the leadership role of Mikel Azcona (35 point margin over Néstor Girolami). “I am very proud to be the driver called to come in the crucial part of the season to support Mikel and the team in their fight. In Bahrain and Saudi Arabia we will discover two very beautiful circuits, which will be new for almost everyone on the grid. The Hyundai Elantra N TCR is a brand new car for me, but I'm sure I can get up to speed quickly. I hope I can get some good results and help the team finish the season on a high note. »
