Richmond opens the NASCAR spring of Short Tracks

Heading for Virginia and a new type of route this weekend. With a development of 0,75 miles (1,207 km), the Richmond Raceway hosts the NASCAR since 1953. Asphalted in 1968, the route acquired its current D-Oval configuration in 1988.

King Richard Petty holds the record for victories in Richmond with 13 trophies. Kyle Busch is the most successful active driver there with nine victories. he will certainly be keen to give his season a positive dynamic on this track conducive to close racing, a type of racing which perfectly suits his feisty temperament.
