Team Penske announced today that it has reached a contract extension with seven-time series winner Ryan Blaney Nascar Cup. The long-term deal will allow the driver of the No. 12 Ford Mustang to continue the success he has enjoyed with the team into the future.
Ryan Blaney joined Penske in 2012, competing in the Nascar Xfinity Series at that time. He then opened his victory tally the following year, at Kentucky Speedway, in the Xfinty Series. The driver, now 28 years old, has enjoyed much success since then, at the wheel of his No. 12, and now has a total of 14 victories at the wheel of the Penske car.
“Ryan has become one of the top competitors in the NASCAR Cup Series and we are excited for him to continue his career and continue his success with Team Penske, Roger Penske said. He has been a key part of our team for over ten years and we have seen him grow and develop, both on and off the track. He has become a consistent winner behind the wheel of the No. 12 Ford, and he also does a great job representing our team partners. We can’t wait to see what the future holds with Ryan and Team Penske. »
In 2022, the American driver is currently second in the championship, two races from the end of the regular season, signing three pole positions in the process.
