Unveiled on March 16, the Ferrari 296 GT3 will have the difficult task of taking over from the very prolific 488 GT3, holder of 107 titles in its Evo and 2020 configurations, with 429 victories in 770 starts. As a reminder, this 296 GT3 will be the result of the association of the Italian brand with Oreca. Already in assembly in Signes (Var), this new GT3 will be in development in the coming months and its racing debut is planned for 2023. The Italian brand unveiled a new sketch of this car on social networks.
« We've already received a lot of praise for the car ", rejoiced Antonello Coletta, director of Ferrari's sporting activities in GT, with whom we spoke in Sebring (Florida) on the sidelines of the 1000 Miles of Sebring, first round of the 2022 season of WEC. However, the most important thing is that it goes quickly. We think we've done a good job on this. » The Italian manufacturer is already spoiled for choice when it comes to using this car in competition, having received a number of requests from its usual customers (AF Corse, Risi Competizione, Kessel Racing, etc.) or others not yet developing in Ferrari.
