ART Grand Prix, and more particularly Jules Bianchi, have prepared their business well to place their Dallara-Mercedes in the first line. The driver of the French FFSA Team took the best starting place with the time of 1'31 achieved on his 143nd pass of the final qualifying session with his new Kumho set, before being hampered in traffic. However, it was enough to secure him pole position, despite two times very close to his Finnish teammate Valterri. Bottas (1’31?175 et 1’31?197).

With Mika Mäki's 3rd place, in the first VW-powered car, there is a third car from a French team, Signature in this case, in the leading trio. Jean-Karl Vernay must be content with 6th place behind Mehri (Manor) and Coletti (Prema), and with a little success could aim for a new podium.

Contrary to what we thought before this final qualifying phase, the top nine in each group, and not the ten, were in the running. A point of settlement that escaped everyone this morning, because it was 50% of the field that prevailed. This did not prevent Adrien Tambay (8th) from finding himself in the right car, the rookie of the French Team ultimately taking the 15th time.

Alexandre Marsoin, not yet in the best rhythm, will start from the last row tomorrow at Zandvoort.
