Jean-Eric Vergne (Carlin), already assured of the title in F3 British, completed a more modest qualifying session than usual, at Brands Hatch, the last meeting of the season. The Frenchman of Red Bull Junior Team set the fourth fastest time of the session at Brands Hatch, inheriting fourth place on the grid for the third race of the weekend. In the register of the second best time, Jean-Eric Vergne ranked seventh, obtaining seventh place on the starting grid for the first race. Daniel McKenzie (Fortec) and Oliver Webb (Fortec) took both pole positions.
