Aged 17, Christian Mansell will make his FIA debut Formula 3 during the Hungaroring round (Hungary, July 29-31) as part of the Charouz Racing System team. The young Australian (no relation to the Englishman Nigel Mansell) will be back in the discipline the following month, at Spa-Francorchamps (Belgium, August 26-28).

Christian Mansell will replace Zdenek Chovanek. This is the fourth time that the seat has changed ownership in 2022. Ayrton Simmons completed the first test before giving way to David Schumacher, then Lirim Zendeli, before Zdenek Chovanek took over at the start of the summer.
Christian Mansell can boast of having achieved three successes in Euroformula Open in 2022, and occupies second place in the championship behind Oliver Goethe.
“It will be my first time in the car in Hungary so there will be a lot to learn from the start, but I like these two circuits, so I will be able to cope with these two, says Christian Mansell. I'm super excited and can't wait to start this weekend in Hungary. »
