The Italian Nicola De Marco achieved the best time (2:03:484) in the first qualifying session, in Brno (Czech Republic). He will therefore start on pole for the first race of F2 of the weekend. He was ahead of his compatriot Mirko Bortolotti and the Finn Henri Karjalainen. Julien Jousse is eleventh, 1 behind the best time.
