Italian Nicola De Marco won the first race of the weekend Formula 2 in Brno. He beat Dean Stoneman, who once again takes the championship lead from fifth-placed Jolyon Palmer. Sergey Afanasiev finished on the third step of the podium and ahead of Belgian Benjamin Bailly. The latter slips to sixth place in the general championship standings. Frenchman Benjamin Lariche ranks tenth.
