Under the eyes of his biggest supporter, his grandmother, Jean-Éric Vergne wins his eighth victory of the season in British F3, during the second Spa-Francorchamps race.

Starting seventh, the Frenchman took advantage of an eventful first lap to move up to second place. Then before the end of this first round, he attacks and goes first. The Carlin driver then only had to defend his position until the finish. “A very good result for the championship…” admits Trevor Carlin, his team manager.

Already two victories today for Jean-Éric Vergne at Spa, there remains a third race to contest tomorrow, as a curtain-raiser to the 24 Hours of Spa.
