By finishing 12th and first in the two races of the final meeting at Suzuka, Kazuki Nakajima (Petronas Team Tom’S / Toyota) s’adjuge le titre 2012 de la Formula Nippon.
Race 1 saw Takuya Izawa (Docomo Team Dandelion Racing / Honda) triumph ahead of Tsugio Matsuda (Impul / Toyota) and Koudai Tsukakoshi (Docomo Team Dandelion Racing / Honda).
Seventh in the first race, Loïc duval (Team Kygnus Sunoco / Toyota) finished second in the second behind Nakajima and ahead of Tsukakoshi. Reigning champion, André Lotterer (Petronas Team Tom'S / Toyota) finished fifth and eighth respectively in the two events of this last meeting.
