Dean Stoneman, this weekend, secured the title of Formula 2 champion, at the end of the first race in Valencia, placing ninth. The Briton thus gleaned the title, Jolyon Palmer not having managed to score enough points to still believe in it, after finishing in seventh place, behind the Frenchman Benjamin Lariche, sixth.
Dean Stoneman succeeds Andy Soucek, champion in 2009. From Formula Renault UK, he offers himself, in addition to the title, a test during the rookie days F1 with the stable Williams, which developed the single-seaters for the championship F2.
