Dean Stoneman and Johan Jokinen set the best time, respectively, in the first and free practice sessions at Silverstone, the first round of the FIA championship in Formula 2. It is Jokinen, former pilot of F3 Euro Series and Formula Renault 2.0, who had the best time of the day, in 1:37??851. The Belgian Benjamin Bailly, winner of the 2009 Formul?Academy (now called F4 Eurocup 1.6), ranked twelfth in the second session (1?39??245) while the Frenchman Benjamin Lariche (1?39??899) sixteenth class in this session.
