Tom Blomqvist (Eurointernational) recovered victory on the green carpet at the Norisring following a barrage of penalties inflicted on most of the competitors including Raffaele Marciello (Prema Powerteam) for failure to respect the yellow flags. The Briton, who only ranked eighth in the first race, finally finished ahead of Harry Tincknell (Carlin) and André Rudersdorf (ma-con). The Championship leader finds himself fifth behind Eddie Cheever (Prema Powerteam). The result remains provisional since many teams have appealed.
