Max Verstappen (Van Amersfoort Racing) wins a new pole for Race 1 of the F3 European Championship in Hockenheim (Germany). The future pilot Toro Rosso achieved a time of 1'32"002 to snatch first place from Lucas Auer (Mücke Motorsport) who lost by only 18 thousandths behind. Jagonya Ayam with Carlin drivers Tom Blomqvist and Antonio Giovinazzi will form the second row ahead of Jordan King (Carlin) and Esteban Ocon (Prema Powerteam), the new champion of the discipline.
