Max Verstappen (Van Amersfoort Racing) won Race 1 of the F3 European Championship at the Nürburgring where he started from pole. The new resident of the Red Bull Junior Team won three seconds ahead of Antonio Fuoco (Prema Powerteam) and Antonio Giovinazzi (Jagonya Ayam with Carlin) at the end of an event contested on a drying track. Jordan King (Carlin) and Tom Blomqvist (Jagonya Ayam with Carlin) complete the top five ahead of the Championship leader Esteban Ocon (Prema Powerteam).
