Esteban Ocon (Prema Powerteam) won Race 1 of the Pau Grand Prix after maintaining the pole advantage. Despite the two restarts, the Championship leader remained untouchable and was able to take the checkered flag ahead of Lucas Auer (Mücke Motorsports) who defended himself tooth and nail against Max Verstappen (Van Amersfoort Racing). Carlin drivers Jake Dennis and Jordan King complete the top five after taking advantage of Nicholas latifi (Prema Powerteam) forced to start from the stands.
