Alex Lynn (Prema Powerteam) secured victory in the second race of the F3 European Championship at Vallelunga where he started on pole. The Briton won ahead of Alexander Sims (Threebond with T-Sport) and Daniil Kvyat (Carlin) who were the first to benefit from the retirement of Raffaele Marciello (Prema Powerteam). The Championship leader, who started from the front row, remained stopped on the grid with smoke escaping from his car. Felix Rosenqvist (Mücke Motorsport) made another superb comeback to finish in ninth place after starting from last place and coming back to 28,5 points behind the driver of the Ferrari Driver Academy.
