Antonio Giovinazzi (Jagonya Ayam with Carlin) set the best time in free practice of the F3 European Championship in Hockenheim. With a time of 1'33"135, the Italian is two tenths ahead of Lucas Auer (Mücke Motorsport) and the first rookie Max Verstappen (Van Amersfoort Racing). The Dutchman is followed by the Championship leader Esteban Ocon (Prema Powerteam) ahead of Tom Blomqvist (Jagonya Ayam with Carlin) and Felix Rosenqvist (Mücke Motorsport).
