Callum Illott (Carlin – Volkswagen) was the fastest in the first free practice session of the final round of the European Championship. F3 in Hockenheim in Germany. The Briton completed a best lap in 1'35″106 and precedes the Monegasque Charles Leclerc (Van Amersfoort Racing – Volkswagen) by 43 thousandths.
Dorian Boccolacci (Signature – Volkswagen) took 6th place while Felix Rosenqvist (Prema Powerteam – Mercedes), crowned champion at the Nürburgring, only ranks 16th.
