Race 2 with a reverse grid allowed William Buller, who started from pole, to win his Dallara/VW from the Carlin team. 2nd from the first turn, Juncadella tried to get around the Briton, but in vain. At the same time, Marciello was pushed off the track and was able to start behind. A red flag stopped the race at the end of the first lap, following Lewis' exit. At the restart, nothing changed after another start behind safety car, Buller finishing ahead of Juncadella and Wehrlein.
