Daniel Juncadella was able to take part in the Macau qualifying race despite the fact that the gasoline loaded by his Dallara-Mercedes was found to be non-compliant. “The result of the fuel analyzes shows that the fuel used by car number 1 does not correspond to the standard required for this event, as provided for in article 24.4 of the sporting regulations”, indicates an official report unveiled by the British site Motorsport. A fact that René Rosin from Prema Powerteam denies outright: “We are sure that we have not touched the gasoline”. To prove his innocence, the team manager wants to have new tests carried out in a laboratory approved by the FIA, probably in Europe. In the meantime, Daniel Juncadella, winner of the event in 2011, will start the race tomorrow in fifth position.
