The first penalties of the season fell after the 2nd race of the Euro Series at Le Castellet: Nigel Melker and Laurens Vanthoor, who finished 4th and 5th, were found guilty at one point of unsporting behavior. As a result, the penalty imposed demotes the Dutchman to 12th place, and the Belgian to 7th. Melker still remains in the lead of the championship before race 3.
