Gustavo Menezes (Van Amersfoort Racing) is the surprise pole sitter for Race 2 of the F3 Euroepan Championship at Spa-Francorchamps. With a time of 2'25"458 achieved on a wet track, the American was more than a second ahead of his teammate Max Verstappen, wheras'Esteban Ocon (Prema Powerteam) follows in third place ahead of John Bryant-Meisner (Fortec Motorsports) and Felix Serralles (Team West-tec F3). The Championship leader resumed his good habits with the second best time which gave him pole for Race 3 ahead of the Swede.
