Raffaele Marciello (Prema Powerteam) took pole for Race 1 at the Pau Grand Prix by completing the lap of the urban circuit in 1'10”600. The Italian beats on the wire Carlos Sainz Jr (Carlin) who achieved the best time in Group B with a time of 1'10"802. Jazeman Jaafar (Carlin) follows the pole sitter while Daniel Juncadella (Prema Powerteam) was closest to the Group B reference time.
