The FIA World Council has confirmed that penalties for engine changes will be reduced in 2017. Each change will be penalized by ten places on the grid over one race and no longer three as is the case until now.

Drivers will now be able to compete four seasons in F3 and no longer three. The maximum age has increased to 25 years.

A bonus of €500 will be shared between drivers, rookies and teams.

The FIA also confirmed the ban on wind tunnels and appointed Pirelli as the exclusive manufacturer for the World Cup in Macau (China) from November 17 to 20.
