Carlos Sainz Jr (Carlin) achieved the two best times in qualifying at Hockenheim and will start from pole in Races 1 and 3. The Spaniard will start ahead of Felix Rosenqvist (Mücke Motorsport) and Daniel Juncadella (Prema Powerteam) in Race 1 while it will be his compatriot who will accompany him in Race 2 in front of the Swede.
