Felix Rosenqvist (Prema Powerteam) took pole for Race 1 of the F3 European Championship in Hockenheim (Germany). The Swede set a time of 1'32"455, ahead of Antonio Giovinazzi (Jagonya Ayam with Carlin) by only a hundredth.
Maximilian Günther (Mücke Motorsport) and Charles Leclerc (Van Amersfoort Racing) form the 2nd row ahead of the Prema drivers Lance stroll and Jake Dennis (Prema Powerteam). The Frenchman Brandon Maïsano (Prema Powerteam) will start from 7th place while his compatriot Dorian Boccolacci (Signature) will start from 25th place.
