Jean-Eric Vergne (Carlin Motorsport) did not miss his debut in Formula 3 British, whose season opened this weekend at Oulton Park. The Frenchman, who started on pole in the first race, signed his first victory in the discipline this Sunday.

Today, "JEV" finished in fifth place in the second race, after starting from seventh place, according to the reverse grid principle (the first seven from the first race are placed in reverse order on the starting grid of the second).

However, there is still one race to go for the driver of the Red Bull Junior Team since British F3 now offers three races per weekend. Jean-Eric Vergne will also start in pole position for this third race.

For each round of British F3, during qualifying, it is the fastest lap of each driver which determines their position on the starting grid for the third race. The grid for the first race is based on each driver's second fastest lap in qualifying.
