Franco Colapinto, just confirmed by the MP Motorsport team to compete in the 2020 Formula season Renault Eurocup, achieved the best time on the first day of collective testing for the series promoted by Losange, at the Monza Autodromo in Italy.
The Argentinian completed his best lap during the morning session in 1'48"274, before dominating again in the afternoon in 1'48"283. Caio Collet (R-Ace GP) is the closest pursuer to Colapinto throughout the day, being less than a tenth behind. Grégoire Saucy ranks 3rd with first car from the ART Grand Prix team, just ahead of the first Frenchman Victor Martins (ART Grand Prix).
Hadrien David (MP Motorsport) finished 8th and 14th in the two Monday sessions when Reshad de Gerus (Arden) brought up the rear in both sessions. Driving continues this Tuesday, with the Formula Renault Eurocup resuming this weekend in Lombardy for the first round of the season.
