Joel Eriksson (Motopark) set the best time in the second free practice session of the FIA World Cup F3 in Macau. The 3 FIA F2017 runner-up behind Lando Norris, set the best time in 2'12"032 and precedes his teammate Daniel Ticktum by 110 thousandths.
Ferdinand Habsburg (Carlin) climbs into third position at 0″252 and is ahead of Callum Ilott and Maximilian Günther (SJM Theodore Racing by Prema). Lando Norris (Carlin), author of the provisional pole in Q1, climbs to 7th position. Sacha Fenestraz (Carlin) finished 17th in a session marked by three incidents resulting in a red flag.
Pedro Piquet (Van Amersfoort Racing) hit the barriers and damaged his suspension, while Mick Schumacher (Theodore Racing by Prema) and Ralf Aaron (Van Amersfoort Racing) also made mistakes. The latter's accident brought the session to a premature end.
