Frenchman Victor Martins (MP Motorsport) took pole position for the first Formula race Renault Eurocup on the Hungaroring route.
Martins achieved the best performance in 1'42″566, beating Alexander Smolyar (R-ace GP) by 197 thousandths. Lorenzo Colombo (MP Motorsport) and Caio Collet (R-ace GP) will start from the second row.
The championship leader Oscar piastri (R-ace GP) only took 6th place in the session.
