At the wheel of a Dallara F317-Volkswagen from the Carlin team, Lando Norris set the fastest time in the first qualifying session of the opening round of the FIA European Championship F3. Thanks to a time of 1'50"094, the Briton, protected from McLaren-Honda, ahead of his compatriot by 0”006 Callum Illiot, who defends the colors of the Prema Powerteam and who will therefore accompany him on the first row of the starting grid for the first race, tomorrow at 16:55 p.m.
Maximilan Günther (Prema Powerteam), Joel Eriksson (Motopark) and Jehan Daruvala (Carlin) complete the top five.
Mick Schumacher, son of the seven-time world champion F1 German, set the 12th fastest time of this session, 0 from the reference mark.
