On a wet track at Monza in Italy, scene of the opening of Formula Renault Eurocup, the Transalpine Lorenzo Colombo dominated the first collective driving session this Friday morning.
The MP Motorsport driver completed a best lap in 2'04″677, ahead of his teammate Leonardo Lorandi by 104 thousandths. Alexander Smolyar (R-ace GP) follows in third position while Ugo de Wilde (JD Motorsport) and Caio Collet (R-ace GP) complete the top 5 less than four tenths behind the leader.
Frenchman Victor Martins (MP Motorsport) finished last in the session, in conditions which could set the tone for the Lombardy weekend given the weather forecasts.
Several red flags interrupted the session, notably with the exits of Kush Maini (M2 Competition) and Alessio Deledda (GRS).
