Lando Norris (Carlin) once again crushed the competition in qualifying at Zandvoort (Netherlands) by winning the two poles of the last two races. In Q2, he set a time of 1’28”038, more than a tenth faster than Callum Ilott (Prema). Jake Hughes (Hitech) took a good third place ahead of Ferdinand Habsbourg (Carlin) and Maximilian Günther (Prema).
In Q3, Norris is still in the lead in 1'28''271 and, as in Q1, ahead of Habsburg. Günther leads Prema hat-trick with Ilott and Guan Yu Zhou. Back to 8 points behind Günther in the championship, Norris takes an option to regain the lead at the end of the weekend.
