A few days after the first tests of the Formula 3 European in Budapest, the teams meet at Red Bull Ring (Austria) for two new days of testing. These tests begin as they ended in Hungary, i.e. with Alex palou (Hitech GP) at the forefront, his best time achieved in 1'23''087. He is less than a tenth ahead of his teammate Enaam Ahmed. Daniel Ticktum (Motopark) ranks third and best Volkswagen driver.

Jüri Vips (Motopark) follows his teammate in 4e position right in front Mick Schumacher (Prema Powerteam) and the two other Motoparks of Fabio Scherer and Jonathan Aberdein, the German team in great spirits on the Spielberg track. The Prema of Ralf Aron and Robert Shwartzman complete the top 10 with the Carlin of Jehan Daruvala slotted between the two drivers.

Sacha fenestraz (Carlin) finished the session in 15th place, 6 tenths behind the benchmark set by the Spaniard. Note the presence of Sophia Flörsch in the third car Van Amersfoort Racing, the German driver starting her first official tests in F3 before a possible tenure.
